Lifelong Learning at nashotah House Seminary

In the Summer of 2023 Fr. Sean and his family embarked on a journey to continue his education during his Sabbatical. In July Fr. Sean matriculated as a student at Nashotah House Theological Seminary beginning Doctor of Ministry degree. It is his hope that in sharing this time of study and scholarship for the next few years he can bring refreshment and enrichment to the St. Anselm community as well.

A short seminar paper presented to the class on Cyril of Jerusalem’s Lectures on the Christian Sacraments. It is a concise summary.

Research Paper: Anointing with Oil and the Kingly and Priestly Offices in the Mystery of Holy Baptism (25 pages)
A research paper recovering the lost riches of the Sacrament of Holy Baptism looking at the development of the rites from the NT through c.350 AD. Particular attention is given to anointing with oil as sharing in Jesus’ kingship and priesthood.
